Kara is the Clinical Director and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has been an independent contractor with Crow River Family Services since 2011 and has been a Clinical Supervisor since 2016. Kara received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 2007 from Biola University. She earned her Master of Social Work Degree in 2010 from California State University, Fullerton. Kara’s work experience has included working with transitional age youth through Orange County Social Services and as a school social worker for elementary aged children in Orange County. She has received additional training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Kara provides in-home individual, family, and group skills through Children’s Therapeutic Supports and Services (CTSS), individual and family outpatient therapy, clinical supervision, and internship supervision for BSW and MSW students. She is passionate about working with elementary aged children but enjoys helping kids of all ages reach their full potential. Certified DIRT GROUP Practitioner.
