Christine Kahl is an MSW intern with Simmons College in Boston, MA. Christine has experience in mental health, and housing case management, and has worked with diverse populations. During her MSW education, Christine is hoping to discover other areas of interest for developing a concentration area.
Christine is currently employed at Tri-CAP in Waite Park, MN as a Self-Sufficiency Counselor assisting Veterans find and maintain housing. Prior to her work at Tri-CAP Christine has worked as a Targeted Mental Health Case manager for Adults with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness.
Christine received her BA in Psychology from Metropolitan State University, is interested in human behavior and why people do the things they do. Christine has a passion for social justice and advocacy and hopes to influence change among marginalized populations.
When Christine is not engaging in the various aspects of social work, she enjoys knitting, kayaking, fishing, watching mysteries or Crime TV shows on Neflix, and playing with her 2 cats (Tucker and Hunter). Her taste in music is expansive, and she is willing to give anything at least one chance. Christine is hoping to gain more experience in the aspects of group therapy, trauma informed care, and identity development.
